They came for the view. You stayed for the morning.

A considered guide to sleeping, tasting and slowing down in Motovun. Not another stop on the map. Somewhere to stay.

Stay Beyond the View

The view is only
the beginning.

From a distance, Motovun is a silhouette above the valley. Stay, and it becomes something more personal: the lane you learn by heart, the table you return to, the morning you did not have to rush. Our suggestion is simple. Give it two nights.

Why we believe in staying

Selected stays

Three stays.
Three different rhythms.

Old-town character, a small guesthouse or a design-led wine escape. Choose the setting first; confirm your room and arrival arrangements directly with your host.

Experiences

Make room for
a little discovery.

One well-chosen experience can shape a whole day. Meet a truffle-hunting family, sit down to Istrian cooking, or follow a path into the hills.

Two nights

Two nights.
Nothing to hurry.

Arrival, a full day, a last unhurried morning. An editorial itinerary, not a package: adapt it to the season, your energy and confirmed reservations.

Stay Beyond the View

Before you arrive

Arrive informed.
Stay at ease.

How many nights should I spend in Motovun?

We suggest two nights for an arrival evening, one full day and a final morning. Three nights leave more space for the surrounding hill towns. This is our editorial recommendation, not a minimum stay rule.

Should I stay in the old town or below it?

Hotel Kaštel and Villa Borgo suit an old-town base. Roxanich offers a design-and-wine setting below the historic centre. Consider your preferred room, dining plans, mobility and transport, not only the view in a photograph.

Where should I park and leave my luggage?

Ask your accommodation for its current arrival instructions before driving uphill. Motovun Park publishes parking information and tariffs. Confirm the correct parking area, any shuttle or collection arrangements, and the final walk to your room.

Leave a little room
for Motovun.

Choose your pace, find a place to sleep and make the next morning part of the journey.
